I'll not post the HLC28 results yet as it is still March in some countries.   Equally if you are Australian and want to get started early, here are 2 April (fool) challenges...

A little round and round one that probably won't take too many laps to get fast on...

       If the #1 spot is a genuine time then the car that the overall leaders assumed was fastest wasn't.  By quite a significant time.   I don't believe that lap time, but we have more than one club member that is capable of challenging for a top 10 finish if it is real.

And a slow one with compromises to be addressed.

      Do you go for the grip through the corners, or do you go for speed on the banking?  decisions, decisions.

Will be speeding things up a lot in May with an R1 HLC.

Over the time i have been a member of G4TE i have come to the conclusion a fair few other members enjoy cycling in one of its many forms. From roadies to downhill mud magnets and the odd Raw who adds cycling in to his triathlon's.
So i thought its about time we had a bike club. Well of sorts!

Realy just some where to post about any rides you have enjoyed. Or even not, when the winds in your face and its up hill all the way. ( Dont you just hate those days. )

So i will kick it off with todays ride. Kevfh and i did our irregular ride round the estuary from where we live in Exmouth to Dawlish and back. 42.57 miles from my door to door. It was cold and windy, but we actualy saw the sun for a while. Just under 4 hours ride time 4h45m with lunch break and the odd stop for toilet breaks. ( And to let kev catch up!!! Shhh don't tell him i said that  )
It was a much nicer ride this week than last where due to flooding and a huge detour it was 5 hours in the saddel! 
Its mainly cycle track with a few miles on a dodgy sea wall / foot / cycle path.
Being Easter weekend it seemed every idiot and there dog was out as well which is great apart from most dont keep dogs or children under control. ( Sometimes think both should be on a lead.  )
This is on mountain bikes by the way. Its much faster on a road bike i am told!

My kids keep telling me there's another update coming very soon, and this one has the end.  I tweeted 4J asking if this meant we'd need a new map, but they didn't reply.  Should we proceed with doing this, or is our Minecraft server ready for retirement? 
 
I'm quite happy to keep it open, just as long as it's being used.  It's nice to drop in there now and again, and build something.  That said, I have a feeling the gold account runs out soon. April probably. I can check later.

It's time I organized another silly Forza 4 tournament. So, as discussed, we will be racing famous Movie and TV cars.
Please put your name down in this thread to reserve your spot.

Participation
If you cannot commit to a full season, we would be happy to include you as a drop-in, or a stand-in.  We intend to have 16 cars taking part in each race, and will probably need to complete the lobby with a couple of AI cars.  We will simply replace an AI car with anyone who wishes to join.  All players, whether human or AI will score team points.

Teams.
There  will be two teams, and each team will have a team principle.  Please vote for the principals in this thread..  Each team member will  be racing for team points. there will be a variety of ways to earn  points, and the teams will be able to strategize in order to maximize  their earnings.  Less capable players will play a crucial role in  points earning, alongside their faster team mates.
There  will be no individual competition.  This time around it's all about  the team.  Everyone will earn points, every race, regardless of finishing position. A draft of the point earnings table is lower down in this post.
Teams will be assigned randomlys. 
Tuning not required.
Each race will feature a famous TV or Movie car.  This will be stock, and untuned.   
Painting.
All cars will be identical.
Locations and schedule.
Our locations director will pick the tracks. If nobody wants to be locations director, we will pick tracks at random just before racing.
The Forfeit Car
The flower-mobile. This will be exactly the same as the movie cars, but will be painted bright pink and have flowers all over it.  We may also have deflated the tyres and de-tuned it.  The first 3 place finishers of a race will each receive a forfeit for the next race.  The forfeit car has one sole purpose - interference.  It will still earn points, and any player, in addition to the forfeit holders, may elect to drive the forfeit car at any time.
Team principles will be allotted 8 "jokers". Playing a joker enables them to remove a forfeited driver from the flower-mobile, and replace them with one of their top 2 drivers.  This is to prevent any less capable drivers from being forced to drive a slower car, and can only be used as such.  Unused jokers will score team points at the end of the season.

All race starts will be 9pm GMT | 4pm EST | 1pm PST

Anyone else have this game?  We've got a couple of guys at LaG that are now playing .. and David the Alien has it now too.  The game plays much better than the last release.  Online play is finally fixed!
